Stay, Work and Heal

Be Part of the change

Work exchange Experience

Got a hands-on attitude? If you aren’t afraid of manual work, we have a place for you. Join us to help tidy, improve, and shape this environment while experiencing the power of a fully clean living space free from addictive distractions.

Type of work

The work here varies day by day depending on the time of year and our current project schedule. You could find yourself building superadobe homes or straw bale round houses, planting trees and vegetable crops, building dry stone walls, or carving signs. Other days might involve making organic soap bars, toothpaste, and deodorant, harvesting wild herbs, making beeswax candles, hanging out washed bedding, or emptying compost toilets.

Amidst these diverse tasks, it is incredibly important that you take on work that truly aligns with your natural energy. Everyone is completely free to choose their own path, and no one here will ever be stopped, discouraged, or forced into a role that does not suit them. A woman rooted in her feminine energy, for example, will never be expected to take on heavy labor better suited for masculine energy, and vice versa.

If you are naturally drawn to crafting soaps, pouring candles, and adding a nurturing, feminine touch to this space, we are absolutely thrilled to have you here. Both the feminine and masculine energies are vitally important to this new earth shift. By working together in harmony and honoring our unique strengths, they form a beautiful, complete whole.

Working Hours/Days

We aim for around 4 to 5 hours of work a day, 4 to 5 days a week. There could also be an option for financial compensation depending on your skill level, our active projects at the time, and the total hours you work.

The exchange

We can arrange to pick you up if you do not have your own vehicle. Accommodation options on the land include bell tents next to the river, a private caravan overlooking the valleys, a wood cabin, wooden pods, or superadobe structures, depending on what is available when you arrive. You will have access to cold and hot showers, as well as toilets.

We provide all food and clean water. All of our produce is sourced locally to ensure it is completely free from chemicals. We do not use sugar, gluten, processed foods, or meat. Everyone occasionally takes a turn cooking using the provided ingredients.

During your stay, you can access the apothecary cabin for drying wild herbs to make teas and remedies. You can also make use of our dedicated instrument space, archery setup, knife-throwing targets, dartboard, chess, and playing cards. We hold regular sharing circles and singing circles on the land.

For time away from work, there are beautiful walking trails nearby. The town of Penamacor is just ten minutes away, and we make regular group trips to the weekend markets, as well as lake days with paddleboarding and picnics.
